Galatians 5 | Series: "Happily Ever After" | Message: "Beyond Should I Stay or Should I Go"

Alex started a new series this week on communication and conflict, particularly in the context of marriage.

In marriage, we always look for the “Happily Ever After” as the goal.

Often a marriage may come to a point where we feel there are only two options to solve problems: by flesh or by law (i.e. following desires or obligations). The apostle Paul in Galatians, however, offers a third option: walk by the Spirit, which is a better way, for the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

God wants marriages to be Holy rather than just Happy. Holiness is primarily about who you are becoming, and about keeping in step with the Spirit. And Holiness and Happiness go hand-in-hand.
