Students are an important part of Chatham Church. Middle and high school students bring life, energy, and potential to everything they do. Our Student Ministry strives to help students and their friends become authentic followers of Jesus who will engage their world for good.

Our Activities

Weekly Student Ministry | We want students to connect in God-honoring relationships that help them grow in their relationships with Jesus Christ. To make this happen, we provide biblical teaching, practical mentoring, and opportunities for fun and service that are specifically geared for students.

During the school year, we meet on Sunday evenings from 5:30-7:30. This schedule will start on September 11th and we will be meeting at our Pittsboro location this fall. All students in middle and high school are welcome to come at 5:30 for snacks and gathering time. We’ll start our service together at 6:00, then we’ll break up into high school and middle school groups for a message and then into breakout groups for discussion.

During the summer, we take a break from our weekly meetings to enjoy some fun activities together.

Youth Band We are a group of middle and high school students that strive to use our musical gifts to connect students to God and each other through musical worship. If you are interested in joining, please email youthband@chathamchurch.org to get more information.

Worship Service  We want every student to be actively involved in the life of our church before they graduate: worshipping, serving, and sharing. Students worship with their families on Sunday mornings.

Special Events  Camps, retreats, service projects, and road trips help round out our student ministry at Chatham Church. Whether it's serving impoverished communities in Appalachia or taking a day trip to Wet 'n Wild, the time students spend having adventures together tends to bear great spiritual fruit.
