Sunday morning recap for November 2nd, 2014

Alex wrapped up the series “Joy In All Things” by looking at Philippians 4:10-13
Here are some thoughts about receiving help from others:
- It is a blessing to others to serve. If you refuse to let them serve you, you are cutting them off from the joy of serving.
- Sometimes, you really do need someone to help you, even if you don't want to admit it.
- If the Lord has prompted them to offer you that help, you are not simply declining them, you are saying NO to the Lord who has moved them to offer to serve you.
There is a big difference between holy discontent and selfish discontent. Selfish discontent comes from failures in our own expectations. Jesus is the only measuring stick from our contentment and Jesus should always be our guide throughout life.
As he's done throught this series, Alex reiterated these questions:
- What’s my primary story?
- With whom are you walking?
- Where is your confidence?
Joy can only flourish in difficult and hard times when we’re confident about something or someone that’s bigger than our hard times.
Questions to ponder and share:
- How can we tell help is from God?
- What are the most significant things you have learned from this series?

Hi Tony... I really like the Sunday morning recap! I tried a couple of times to subscribe to the blog, and each time, I was directed to a page that said Google Reader is no longer available. I subscribed to the Connect blog without any problems... Help!
