Summer is often the hungriest time of year for families with children. CORA’s SNACK! Program aims to increase the accessibility of nutritious meals throughout the summer to children facing food insecurity in Chatham County. Over 4,600 children in our community rely upon free or low-cost meals at school that may go hungry this summer.
CCC will provide a distribution center for free groceries to children and their families from mid-June to mid-August. We need your help! You can help for an hour or so with delivery on Fridays, or distribution on Saturdays. The program provides enough food for 21 meals each week for every child enrolled in this program. The food options include fresh produce, milk, and nutrient-dense shelf-stable staples. Last summer, SNACK!  served 1,100 children and nearly 250,000 meals. Learn more and sign up here!
