What would you give everything to get? What would prompt you to sell all your shoes and pass along all of your silverware and toss aside the keys to your car?
 
Wisdom is that valuable.
 
Some of us might give up everything for that perfect job. Others of us might give up everything for a romantic relationship. Or maybe you’d give up everything for a return to health or restoration with a loved one. What makes wisdom so valuable?
 
First off, wisdom is something you can actually get. I mean, you, yes you, you can acquire wisdom. It might be beyond you to get a Porsche or a starring role in the next Avengers movie or to raise the dead. Let’s face it. It probably is. But wisdom is within your reach.
 
But that’s not good enough, is it?
 
Secondly, wisdom creates opportunities. Get wisdom and other things will follow. Wisdom can help you navigate everything from your career to your relationships, from your physical health to your emotional life. Wisdom is the path to a better life.
 
But this presents wisdom just as a means to an end. Wisdom is nice, but is it just an intermediary? Nope.
 
Finally, wisdom changes your relationship with all you have. Your job and family and health and everything else look differently in the light of wisdom. You can experience deeper happiness and joy and contentment. A whole new world opens up to you if you seek wisdom.
