John Billington's Funeral

John Billington was a much-loved part of our church family. He served as an elder, taught classes, and led a small group. He died quickly and suddenly of a heart attack on Saturday.
John's funeral will be held at Donaldson Funeral Home in Pittsboro on Wednesday at 1pm. The address is 396 West Street, Pittsboro, NC 27312. Flowers may be sent there.
Friends have coordinated to provide meals for John's family (Brenda, Josh, Tiffany, Walter, and Elijah and relatives). If you'd like to provide a meal, email Alex (alex@chathamchurch.org) and he will send along details.

We knew John as a brilliant man with a heart for the Lord - Grateful for the time we spent in Sunday School together. Thoughts & prayers go out to Brenda and the family.

Brian and I will miss John's every ready smile and laughter, his love for us and others around him, and we will never forget what a fabulous teacher he was in our newcomers class. He may be physically gone, but we will always feel his presence at Chatham Community Church, a place he loved. Our hearts are broken for his family, and we are praying for peace in their lives. Truly a man who loved Jesus, and a great role model.
