We’re delighted to share some exciting news:
We have found a piece of land for a permanent Pittsboro campus!
Some aspects of this parcel of land that we love:
It's just over two miles south of the Circle (see map below).
It's adjacent to the Pittsboro town limits which means we can apply for annexation and the city water and sewer.
At five acres we have enough room to build a facility big enough to serve Pittsboro for generations.
It's nested right next to the Del-Webb development which is a part of the larger Chatham Park building project. The Del-Webb neighborhood is a 55+ community currently under construction. When it is finished there will be 855 houses right next door!
Speaking of Chatham Park, there is a proposed new Chatham Parkway South road that will be just a few hundred yards south of the property. This will make it even easier to access!
The purchase price is $700,000 (plus $15,000 for Due Diligence fees), a fair price for Pittsboro right now - especially for such a great location.
Our loan terms are $6,500/month over a 20 year period.
Our plan is to purchase the property and pay it off over several years while we re‑launch our Pittsboro campus at East Street, hopefully some time in Summer 2026. When the time comes, we’ll have the land to build a permanent campus in PBO.
To move forward with the purchase, we are proposing that the church take out a loan. Our constitution requires congregational approval for any debt, so we will hold a Congregational Vote on February 22, 2026.
We will be sharing more information in the coming weeks as we prepare together for this important step in our church’s future.
