The Church Has Left the Building
The church is leaving the building on Sunday, May 2nd...
We will “leave the building” and get out into our community to engage our world for good through several service projects. Come join us and bring a friend!
8:30 am—Meet at Perry Harrison for project assignments
9:00 am—Leave for service projects
12:30 pm – Meet back for picnic lunch (maps provided on the day of the event)
Please remember to bring a picnic lunch for your family plus one additional person so that we have enough for our guests to join us. Please also bring chairs, blankets, and outdoor games for the picnic.
A few other reminders for the day: (1) wear "work" clothes and bring work gloves if you have them, (2) pray for good weather as most of our projects are outside, (3) wear your CHLTB tee shirts (we will have shirts available if you need one of those), and (4) you may bring your regular offering to give on Sunday.
We are currently organizing the projects to serve on that day. Past projects have included:
- Several improvements at Perry Harrison School
- Cleaning up the Haw River and Jordan Lake areas
- Serving alongside Habitat for Humanity
- Resurfacing the blacktop at Horton Middle School
- Performing individual home repairs throughout the area
- Landscaping and imporovements at Camp Royall
We will have no Chatham Kids ministry on that Sunday. We will have several "kid friendly" service opportunities, so please enjoy the day serving with your family.
