Haiti Mission Trip Coming in August 2011
"I tell you the truth, whatever you did for the least of these brothers, you did for me." Matthew 25:40
Many physical and spiritual needs continue to exist in Haiti. As a church we want to help meet these crucial needs. This August, we will be sending a team to Port-au-Prince in partnership with Mission of Hope Haiti.
How can you play a part?
PRAY. Please keep the Haitian people and our future teams in your prayers.
GIVE. If you would like to participate in this mission by sending supplies with our team, we will collect items at church as we go.
GO. If you are interested in joining our team in August or would like more information about this opportunity, we will host a brief info meeting immediately following our Worship Service on Sunday, May 1.

Every team and every mission trip are different. Priority needs for the people we will serve include:
CONSTRUCTION & PAINTING-Many trips involve some type of light construction project. This can include laying block, shoveling, pouring cement, laying foundations, painting etc. Carpenters, electricians, and plumbers are always in demand.
EVANGELISM-We believe that all types of service have built-in opportunities for evangelism. We will have intentional opportunities to share the Gospel in loving and respectful ways.
NUTRITIONAL PROGRAM-Each day, more than 15,000 children will eat a meal provided by Mission of Hope (pre-earthquake). Groups can have the opportunity to go on a food distribution, or visit some of the schools and orphanages involved in our nutrition program.
ORPHANAGE-There are almost 60 children in the MOHH Orphanage, ranging from babies, to teens, ho would love your attention. Groups can run a day camp, plan an afternoon craft or English lesson, play soccer, marbles or jump rope with them, simply visit and play, etc.
MEDICAL-We have a full time clinic at Mission of Hope and do many mobile clinics in poorer areas of Haiti. There is always a need for doctors, nurses, dentists, and anyone who is interested in medical work. Please let us know if being part of a medical team interests you.
