The Church Has Left the Building - Day of Community Service
Sunday, October 17, 2010, 8:30 AM - 1:30 PM
This Sunday morning, Chatham Community Church is getting out into the community to engage in several community service projects. Come join us and bring a friend!
8:30 am—Meet at Perry Harrison School for project assignments
9:00 am—Leave for service projects
12:30 pm—Meet together for a picnic lunch (maps provided Sunday)
A few helpful tips for the day: (1) wear "work" clothes and bring work gloves if you have them, (2) please bring a picnic lunch for your family, (3) please also bring chairs, blankets, and outdoor games for the picnic, and (4) we will have several "kid friendly" service opportunities, so please enjoy the day serving with your family.
On past community service days, we have invested in:
- Downtown Pittsboro Clean Up
- N. Chatham School Backpack Project
- Haw River Clean Up in Bynum
- Individual Home Repair Projects
- Camp Royall Improvements--Painting, New Playground, and Nature Trail
- Pittsboro Habitat for Humanity
